Our History
In 1957, a 30 acre cow pasture was purchased in Brooksville, Florida with the vision to establish a campground for families, youth camps and a place for spiritual growth through yearly camp meetings. There were few facilities and little infrastructure, yet the camp ground slowly began to grow. Then in 1970, Wesleyan Village was established permanently as the Wesleyan Bible Conference Association. Shortly afterwards, we obtained our state charter in 1971 and officially became a permanent community.

Throughout the years, Wesleyan Village began to grow. New and bigger buildings were built in the 1980's and 1990's to accommodate the growing membership. A new dining and community center, new apartment buildings, a pool and fitness center, and updated infrastructure all began to shape our community. These continuing improvements have been the force behind our growth. Wesleyan Village is now an outstanding community with over 800 residents during our winter season. Our campus has also expanded to over 400 acres of homes, facilities, and activities that cater to today’s active Christian retirees.
